Professional hair colour de-coded

Colouring your hair professionally is a game changer!  Whether it’s a Scandi hairline, multi-tonal highlights, a permanent tint to cover your white hair or a dramatic colour change.  Our colour experts have the knowledge and experience to help you get the hair colour of your dreams.

Here are a few of the questions that we often get asked ahead of

colour appointments in our Fitzrovia salon:

It’s also worth noting that a balayage incorporates more of your natural root area, allowing for a softer grow out and less time in the salon chair having your roots done, (even though we love to see you!). A balayage service should be done every four months.

When do I need a partial balayage?

Think of a partial balayage like an in-fill service, reviving your old colour whilst adding light and dimension to any new natural re-growth. Face framing, toning and added micro lights can all be included in this, your colour specialist will help you decide what’s best for your hair today.

Will a balayage cover my grey hair?

No but it can help create a delicate blend between new grey hair re-growth and a beautifully blended balayage.  Much more so than highlights or an all over colour would do.

However, if you want a balayage as well as to banish those greys, then a balayage & gloss service is for you! Our signature balayage methods are combined with a tint or gloss to give you a total colour overhaul whilst keeping a natural effect.

What is a hair gloss?

A hair gloss services coats the hair with ammonia free colour that seals the cuticle and adds incredible shine and vibrancy.  It lasts for six to eight weeks, slowly fading so it’s very subtle as it grows out.

I’ve just got back from my holiday and my hair has turned yellow or worse.. green! Help!

Ok the first thing is to pop in and see us, it could be as simple as us using a clarifying shampoo to remove the coating of products and chlorine from your hair to make it look fresher.  But often, post-holiday hair does need a little extra help and a toner is the perfect solution to this.  We will mix a shade that neutralises brassiness and adds depth and shine back into your hair.  It’s also ultra-conditioning so your hair will feel well and truly treated!   No post-holiday blues here!

Grey Blending for gents

One of our most popular services to go with short haircuts is grey blending.  It’s a fifteen minute add on to a barbering appointment where our colour specialists expertly identify your natural colour, and match it with a demi-permanent shade to blend your grey hair.  Our unique men’s grey hair colour technique see us use a tiny tooth comb to create the softest blend imaginable.. you can even go back to the office afterwards confident that no one will know!

Do I need to patch test before colouring my hair?

Absolutely, this is an important part of our care to you and ao we ask that you pop in to the salon a minimum of 48 hours before your service to have your patch test done.  Not in London before your appointment?  Don’t worry!  We can send a patch test out to your home or office, just let us know you’ll need this when making your appointment.
